Lebanese/Polish designer Maya Nakhle was born and raised in Beirut, Lebanon. A graduate of Central Saint Martins in Fashion Design, Maya went on to study at the Chambre Syndicale de la Couture in Paris.
Created in 2004, Maia N has built a strong brand synonymous with luxury and quality.
From the conception of the brand to this day, all materials are sourced from Italy and France where they are hand made with true craftsmanship to the highest standards. Combining her fascination with the mysticism of the Orient and the modernity of the West, Maya creates each unique design by using exotic skins and embellishing them with precious stones and crystals.
In 2004, Swarovski appointed Maya the sole ambassador of the Middle East.
The brand has generated a strong following with royals and celebrities alike, and Glamour's executive fashion editor Suze Yalof Schwartz named Maya the next big designer.
Vogue Paris labeled her as "Maya La Belle" in their April 2007 article highlighting the brand.
The brand is available at high-end outlets worldwide including Printemps in Paris, Tracey Ross in LA and Harvey Nichols HK among many others, and currently produces a line of jewelry and home accessories.
